Our History

logoWestside Christian Academy was founded in 1996 by a small group of parents concerned with the educational and spiritual needs of their children. These parents believed that the centerpiece of the educational process was the formation of a “worldview”  based on God’s Word. This biblical worldview permeates everything we do at WCA as it is the lens through which we see the world. The school was designed to aid parents with instilling Christian values in their children throughout all subject disciplines in order to “bring them up in in the training and instruction of the Lord.” (Eph 6:4)

WCA spent its first few years at St. Barnabas Church in Bay Village until moving to its current location at Grace Baptist Church in Westlake in 2000. In April 2015, WCA announced the addition of a high school curriculum beginning with grades 9/10 in August 2015.

WCA is an independent, non-denominational school that is governed by a board of trustees. We are also a member of the Association of Christian Schools International and operate as a non-profit corporation under the laws of the state of Ohio.
