EdChoice & WCA
What is EdChoice?
The State of Ohio offers all students in grades Kindergarten-12 access to scholarships to pay for private education at participating schools. WCA is a participant in the EdChoice Scholarship program. Scholarship award amounts are determined by:
- Your student’s grade level
- Household adjusted gross income
View Income Eligibility chart to estimate your award amount.
Will the EdChoice Scholarship cover the full tuition?
Low-income families, whose household income is at or below 200% of the federal povertry level, will not be billed for any balance of tuition.
For families whose income is above 200%, the EdChoice scholarship will not cover a student’s entire tuition bill at WCA and there will be a balance owed. Parents who will have difficulty paying the balance are encouraged to apply for additional assistance. Information on applying for additional assistance can be found HERE.
The Director of Admissions can answer questions about how to estimate your award amount.
Fees not covered by the EdChoice Scholarship
All families, regardless of income, are responsible to pay an enrollment/re-enrollement deposit for each student, each year, which is not covered by EdChoice.
- Early Re-Enrollment for returning familes
$350 if paid before February 1 - Standard Enrollment/Re-Enrollment
$385 Feb 1-April 30 - Late Enrollment/Re-Enrollment
$450 May 1 and later
Can the EdChoice Scholarship be renewed?
Yes, under the current legislation, the scholarship can be renewed every year through grade 12 as long as the student:
- Takes all required assessments administered by WCA
- Does not have more than 20 unexcused absences for the school year
- The family remains a resident of Ohio
Should I apply for an EdChoice Scholarship first or apply for admission to WCA first?
You must go through admissions first and once your student has been accepted at WCA, then an EdChoice application can be submitted.
After I am accepted to WCA, how do I apply for the EdChoice Scholarship?
- You must submit the following 3 pieces of information to WCA by dropping off hard copies during school hours or uploading to Stephanie Nath.
- Completed the EdChoice Scholarship Request form made available to you after enrollment.
- Copy of your child’s birth certificate
- Proof of address listed on a current utility bill with matching mailing address and service address.

“Moving our fifth-grader and third-grader to WCA was something we had been considering for years. We are so grateful that God led our family to finally make the decision and do so boldly, as the school has blessed us beyond our prayers. The curriculum has reignited our children’s love of learning, and by teaching with a Biblical worldview, the lessons they are bringing home challenge us as parents and grow our faith as well. The intentionality with which teachers, administrators, and fellow WCA families have embraced our kids and us as a family has been wonderful. When friends ask us if we’ll be back in public school as soon as the pandemic is over, we’re able to answer with a quick and definitive “No” – WCA is home.”

“WCA is one of the best things that has happened to us since we moved here a few years back. Right from the beginning we were warmly welcomed and my kids have always felt safe and very comfortable in the school environment.
The teachers here are friendly and amazing. They not only focus on improving my kid’s areas of need but also put a huge emphasis on bolstering their individual strengths. The Principal, Headmaster and teachers promptly address any questions or concerns without delay.
I also greatly appreciate the detailed timely update I get regarding everything happening at school without any communication gap.
I love how every management decision is prayerfully considered.
Overall it has been a pleasant Journey so far. Thanking God for the wonderful privilege of being a part of WCA.”

“I could go on and on about how much we enjoyed our first year at WCA. One thing that stands out the most is how everything is centered around God. I am sure that the foundation that these kids are taught will be with them throughout their lives. Another thing I enjoyed is how involved you can be in the classroom. My son loved seeing his dad and I for lunch, class parties and field trips. WCA feels like a big family, the staff is amazing and you always feel welcome. We could not feel more blessed to be a part of this school!”
