WCA admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. We are a Christian discipleship school, here to come alongside Christ-following parents who strive to educate their children through a biblical worldview. Over 44 local churches are represented by our student body.
The Mission – Our mission is to integrate biblical truth with academic excellence so that its students will become leaders committed to impacting the world for Jesus Christ.
Faculty and Class Size – The school is currently comprised of teachers, headmaster, office manager, administrative assistant, director of finance,a finance assistant, and a director of after school programs. The student-teacher ratio is favorable with class sizes averaging 13 students.
Families – We are family-oriented and believe that a close partnership with our parents is crucial. We have approximately 118 families with extremely high volunteerism among our parents including a strong Parent-Teacher Fellowship (PTF) organization.
The School Day – The school day is 8:15 am – 3:15 pm for our Grammar School students and 8:30 am – 3:30 pm for our Upper School students. We do have a half-day option for kindergarten. We start our days together with either a class meeting, all-school meeting, Chapel, or family groups. We currently do not offer hot lunch at school; students bring lunch from home.
In Transition – WCA opened its doors in 1996 with a dozen students in the primary grades. It quickly grew to be K-8 and remained such until 2015. The 2015-16 school year is the first for WCA to begin high school with the expectation of being fully K-12 by 2018. We have two sub-divisions: Grammar School which is K-6 and our Upper School, 7-12.
Memberships – WCA is a member of the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI). ACSI, founded in 1978, is the largest Christian school organization in the United States. ACSI has over 2,500 member schools representing nearly 1,000,000 Christian day school students in 94 countries.
WCA is also a member of The Association of Classical Christian Schools (ACCS). ACCS was founded in 1991 and has over 180 members. The primary mission of ACCS is to promote, establish, and equip schools committed to a classical approach to education in the light of a Christian worldview grounded in the Old and New Testament Scriptures.
