Grammar School Art Teacher
B.A. Fine Art & Multi-Age Education, University of Mount Union
Miss Mason teaches Art for grades K-6 and serves on the Children’s Ministry leadership team at her church. Throughout various roles in her education career, she’s had the pleasure of teaching studio art, art history, ballet, cognitive processing skills, literacy, and creative writing. Prior to joining WCA, Miss Mason also extended her professional experience into the social expressions industry at American Greetings Corporation for 9 years where she developed language for connection product, innovation content, & marketing material as a writer & editor. Miss Mason believes strongly in the importance of Art Education and feels that it’s her life purpose to connect children more closely to God and to each other through the beauty, the wonder, and the exploration of art. Chai Tea is an absolute weakness of hers and she especially loves kayaking! When it comes to her own personal expression of art, Miss Mason enjoys working with the calming elements of watercolor whenever she can – though there’s something wonderful about the messiness of charcoal drawing that’s also become a treasured passion of hers. If she had to choose just a couple of favorites among favorite verses, they would be Isaiah 43:19 and Ephesians 2:10 because they beautifully illustrate our Heavenly Father as Creator and Provider of all good things.
